The body of a woman has been found at the base of cliffs near Sandsend, North Yorkshire, marking the fourth fatality in the area within just three days. She was discovered at approximately 11:01 a.m. by a passerby who immediately contacted emergency services. The recovery operation involved personnel from the police, ambulance, coastguard, lifeboat, and fire services. Her body was retrieved at 12:55 p.m., and the area was reopened to the public just over an hour later. A report is now being prepared for the coroner. This discovery follows a series of tragic incidents along the North Yorkshire coastline. On July 30, a man and a woman in their 40s died after falling from the cliffs at Whitby. The next day, another woman, believed to be in her 60s, was found deceased near the cliffside pavilion. Despite the close timing and location of the fatalities, authorities have stated that the incidents are not connected and that none are currently being treated as suspicious.
