Elizabeth Holmes Seen Enjoying Leisure at Same Prison as Ghislaine Maxwell Following Transfer

Disgraced billionaire Elizabeth Holmes has been spotted making use of the leisure facilities at a low-security prison in Texas, shortly after Ghislaine Maxwell, convicted for her role in Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking operation, was transferred to the same establishment. The two high-profile inmates are now both serving custodial sentences at Federal Prison Camp (FPC) Bryan, a minimum-security women’s facility noted for its relatively lenient environment.

Holmes, the former founder of failed blood-testing firm Theranos, is serving over 11 years for defrauding investors and patients by promoting a technology that was never viable. She is currently due for release in April 2032. On Saturday, she was seen jogging in a grassy area of the prison grounds, dressed in a grey T-shirt and matching shorts, black trainers, and what appeared to be a digital watch. She was not accompanied by fellow inmate Jen Shah, the former Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star also serving time at the facility.

Maxwell, sentenced in June 2022 for recruiting underage girls into Epstein’s trafficking ring, was previously held at a more restrictive prison in Florida. However, she was recently moved to FPC Bryan after reportedly raising concerns about what she described as disruptive behaviour by transgender inmates at her previous location.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBP), which manages correctional facilities across the United States, has not commented on the reason for Maxwell’s relocation. Nevertheless, the move has prompted criticism from those who argue that individuals convicted of serious crimes should not be accommodated in more comfortable conditions.

FPC Bryan, situated in central Texas, houses non-violent female offenders and is often described as relatively relaxed compared to traditional prisons. Inmates are housed in dormitory-style accommodation and have access to outdoor areas, educational activities, and basic recreational amenities.

There is no public confirmation of any direct interaction between Holmes and Maxwell. Holmes has kept a low profile since beginning her sentence in May 2023, while Maxwell’s legal representatives have stated she intends to complete her term quietly, without seeking media attention. Barring early release or intervention, Maxwell is expected to remain in custody until at least 2030.
