Emergency Response Called After Man Found Unresponsive at St Pancras Terminal

A man was rushed to hospital after being found unconscious and bleeding inside St Pancras Station in central London on Monday evening, prompting a swift emergency response and forensic investigation.

Emergency services were called to the busy London terminal where the man was discovered lying face down near the top of an escalator to platform B. Paramedics were seen performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and administering treatment, including what appeared to be a blood transfusion, as shocked bystanders looked on.

A temporary medical curtain was erected around the scene to shield the man from public view. Witnesses described a significant police presence with around eight vehicles parked outside the station, including a van and multiple patrol cars.

One eyewitness told LBC: “I saw around eight police vehicles, cars, and a van, lined up outside on both sides of the station. I saw an unconscious man being worked on by paramedics. They erected curtains around him. They were trying to resuscitate him, and there was what looked like a blood transfusion bag. The station was still open as normal while the incident was being dealt with.”

According to reports, a pool of blood was visible at the site, and British Transport Police (BTP) cordoned off the area. Forensic officers were observed closely examining the handrails and escalator, taking samples and photographs as part of their investigation.

British Transport Police, who have jurisdiction over the country’s railway network, later confirmed they were investigating the incident. A spokesperson said: “Officers are aware of an incident tonight (July 28) at St Pancras station and are investigating. If anyone has any information regarding the incident, please text 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40, reference 655 of July 28.”

The man’s condition remains unknown, though he was confirmed to be transported to the hospital following on-site treatment.

The incident occurred shortly after controversial far-right figure Tommy Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, was spotted inside the station earlier the same day. Robinson had filmed himself distributing flyers for a protest planned for later in the week. Footage shared online shows Robinson walking nearby just as security staff rush towards the unconscious man. In the same clip, a concerned bystander can say, “Can we get someone here, quick?”

Robinson also posted footage of himself with a cut on his forehead earlier in the day, claiming the injury was the result of walking into a door. No official link has been made between Robinson and the station incident at this time. However, a source told the Metro that there had been an argument at the station around the same period.

Robinson had previously been expected to attend a protest outside a migrant accommodation centre in Epping on Sunday, but he failed to appear at what reportedly remained a peaceful demonstration. He was recently released from prison after a successful High Court appeal reduced his sentence.

Authorities have not disclosed any further details regarding potential suspects or charges, but investigations are ongoing.
