A major residential development in Stockton-on-Tees has reached a new milestone. The first homes are now available for sale at a recently launched £25 million housing project in Urlay Nook.

Mandale Homes, a developer based in Eaglescliffe, has released the initial properties at its 87-home Stephenson Mews development, which is situated off Urlay Nook Road. The new community will include a mix of two, three, and four-bedroom houses designed for modern family living.

Located close to key transport links such as Allens West train station, the A19 and the A1(M) motorways, the development is expected to appeal to both local families and commuters seeking convenient access to wider North East and national destinations.

Homes currently available range in price from £285,000 for the three-bedroom detached ‘Hickory’ style home to £410,000 for the four-bedroom detached ‘Maple’ house type.

Mandale Homes is offering a selection of incentives to support buyers, including paying stamp duty or covering up to five per cent of the deposit. The company says the Maple property highlights its dedication to delivering homes that are functional, stylish, and well-suited to contemporary lifestyles.

The developer described the Maple home as a front-facing family living room, a spacious hallway leading to an open-plan kitchen, and a dining space with French doors opening onto the garden. The ground floor also offers an additional lounge area at the rear, with bi-fold doors, a utility room with access to an integral garage, a downstairs toilet, and a storage cupboard.

Upstairs, the main bedroom has an en-suite shower room. A family bathroom serves two additional double bedrooms and one single bedroom, offering flexibility for growing families or those working from home.

Helen Woods, Sales Director at Mandale Homes, commented: “It’s fantastic to launch our range of thoughtfully designed, high specification new homes for sale at Stephenson Mews. Urlay Nook is a charming village location, offering residents a combination of tranquillity of suburban living and the convenience of nearby amenities and transport links.”

Interest in the site has been strong, with nine homes already reserved on an off-plan basis prior to the official release. Mandale is encouraging interested buyers to visit the development’s sales centre to explore options and receive guidance from the sales team.

The Stephenson Mews sales office on Urlay Nook Road is open from 10 am to 5 pm Monday through Thursday and Saturday and from 10 am to 4 pm Sunday.

Law firm Gordons is providing legal support for the project. The firm will oversee residential conveyancing for all homes at the site. Mike Finnett, a partner at the firm and head of residential development, is leading the legal team.

Commenting on the partnership, Mr Finnett said: “Stephenson Mews showcases Mandale Homes’ commitment to delivering high-quality, high specification homes across its development. We look forward to working closely with Helen and her team to help people buy the ideal home for them.”

Potential buyers can search for ‘Mandale Homes Stephenson Mews’ online for further details about available homes at Stephenson Mews.
