A gang of masked intruders allegedly stole jewellery and luxury items from the £5 million seaside home of ex-Premier League manager Harry Redknapp during a well-planned burglary last week. The break-in occurred on Friday evening while the property, situated near Branksome Dene Beach in Poole, Dorset, was unoccupied.

According to reports, the thieves used a sledgehammer and lump hammers to force entry through the front door before ransacking the house. CCTV footage reportedly captured the masked individuals as they searched the home and helped themselves to valuables, including jewellery belonging to Redknapp’s wife, Sandra. The raiders are believed to have been familiar with the property’s layout, possibly after seeing it advertised on the property website Rightmove.

Speaking to The Sun, a source close to the family described the incident as “clearly organised” and suggested the gang “must have known the house was empty at the time.” The property, located in one of Poole’s most sought-after neighbourhoods, is known to be worth several million pounds and sits in an area where homes frequently sell for £1 million or more.

Dorset Police confirmed they are investigating a burglary at a private address in Poole. A spokesperson stated: “We received a report of a burglary at an address in Poole. Officers attended and carried out enquiries at the property. An investigation is underway into the incident. No arrests have been made at this time.”

A representative for Mr Redknapp said the former football boss did not wish to comment on the specific items taken and stressed that no one was inside the house during the burglary. “Harry doesn’t want to make a fuss. There was no one in the house at the time, and we don’t want to comment on what was taken. It’s a matter for the police,” the spokesperson told The Sun.

The incident has raised concerns about rising levels of organised residential crime in affluent areas, particularly where high-profile individuals reside. Despite increased use of surveillance technology, professional criminals appear undeterred, exploiting knowledge of vacant homes and potential vulnerabilities.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Dorset Police as the investigation continues.
