OMNI Federal Lands $427M Deal to Power DoD’s Background Check System with Cloud & DevSecOps

Omni Federal has secured a significant contract valued at up to $427 million from the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). This award mandates Omni to provide cloud and DevSecOps capabilities for the National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), the federal government’s centralized IT system for personnel vetting and background investigations. 

As part of the agreement, Omni Federal is tasked with deploying and maintaining a secure cloud environment within AWS GovCloud, adhering to Department of Defense (DoD) Information Impact Level 4 standards. The scope of work includes developing and sustaining DevSecOps tools and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, onboarding and supporting users, and ensuring compliance with DoD security regulations. Additionally, Omni will be responsible for software procurement and integration services, utilizing Agile methodologies to manage project backlogs and participate in sprint reviews and planning sessions.
