Poland’s newly inaugurated President Karol Nawrocki is set to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington on 3 September 2025. This meeting underscores the ongoing commitment to strengthen Polish-American relations, a priority highlighted by Nawrocki since taking office.

Karol Nawrocki was sworn in as Poland’s president earlier this week, following a campaign supported by the conservative Law and Justice party, Poland’s main nationalist opposition group. Before the Polish presidential election in May, Nawrocki met with President Trump in the Oval Office, where he secured Trump’s endorsement for his candidacy.

The invitation for the Washington visit came directly from President Trump in an official congratulatory letter sent on Nawrocki’s inauguration day, according to Pawel Szefernaker, head of Nawrocki’s cabinet. Szefernaker announced the invitation on the social media platform X, confirming that the meeting will be an official working session.

Nawrocki has frequently stressed the importance of a robust partnership between Poland and the United States. The upcoming meeting is expected to focus on mutual security interests, economic cooperation, and regional stability, reflecting the strategic alliance that has deepened over recent years.
