Tragedy Strikes Liverpool’s Premier League Celebration

On May 26, 2025, a celebratory parade in Liverpool turned to tragedy when a 53-year-old man drove a gray minivan into a crowd of fans on Water Street. The incident occurred just after 6 p.m., shortly after the open-top bus carrying Liverpool FC players had passed through the area. The collision resulted in 47 injuries, with 27 individuals hospitalized, including four children. Two victims sustained serious injuries, while 20 others were treated at the scene. Four people had to be rescued by emergency services after being trapped under the vehicle.
